Security locking pivot for the naval industry
The manufacturing of this component, made from design and programmed with three-dimensional Cad Cam software, derives from the combination of various kinds of manufacturing combined together by a manual assembly of the piece.
For this component, there are three kinds of manufacturing interchanged: turning, milling and electrical discharge machining. The machineries involved in the productive process are the following:
- CNC Lathe
- 3 axis CNC machine
- Wire electrical discharge machining equipment
Precision, material and treatments for the realization of the blocking pivot
The blocking pivot is totally realized in AISI 316 with treatment of electropolishing, which increases the resistance of the material to the corrosion.
The manufacturing cycle takes place with a decimal precision level, and at the end of the productive process, there is a manual assembly of the part, which is packaged and sent according to the modalities indicated by the client.
